Clips and Promos
Featured is a studio excerpt from our recent session at Jack Straw Cultural Center in Seattle, serving as a preview of Bel Canto Seattle’s recording project with pianist Karin Kajita, cellist Roberta Downey of Seattle Symphony fame, and tenor John Costello. This collaboration features original arrangements by Connor Wier. The pieces are arranged for tenor, piano, and cello. The pieces featured are: Cielo e mar! by Amilcare Ponchielli, and Vainement, ma bien-aimée by Édouard Lalo.
We are super excited to have Emili Rice participating in Bel Canto Seattle! Below is an excerpt from “Oh, quante volte” from a December studio session. She sounds so human and haunting! Hear her live, for free, in March in Seattle! Tickets here!
In this special performance, John Costello, Bel Canto Seattle tenor, sings “Una furtiva lagrima” from Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore , in loving dedication to Marianne Weltmann, who passed away in June 2024.
He was very close with her and one of the aims of this project is that the spirit, and energy, both honor her memory.
