Marianne Weltmann
Marianne Weltmann was my voice teacher, and an instrumental influence over what would eventually become Bel Canto Seattle through her teachings and friendship. She was driven by her passion for the human voice, it’s power, beauty, and depth of expression. She touched many many lives through her instruction, empowerment, and humor. I would hope that she would be proud of what we’ve created, and are building at Bel Canto Seattle.

This beautiful video tribute was created in 2024, the year Marianne passed away, by the great tenor Gino Lucchetti. A former student of Marianne’s, and friend to Bel Canto Seattle.
John created this video back in 2022 for Marianne of a recital she recorded with Hartwig Eichberg, for a friend’s wedding in London in the late 90’s.
